DMK never had it this bad – This is the first election where it lost all seats

May 16, 2014 – As of 11.30 am, the M.Karunanidhi-lead DMK trails in all 39 seats in Tamil Nadu and one seat in Puducherry.

The fact that the DMK is lagging from the beginning of counting has left the party shell shocked. No party spokespersons are available for comment to the media. In fact Arivalayam, the DMK’s headquarters on Mount Road, Chennai, where the party’s Kalaignar TV office is also located, wears a deserted look.

In stark contrast, Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK party HQ in Royapettah is overflowing with jubilant party workers bursting crackers.
