KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 – Two MCA leaders and as many MIC leaders were sworn in today as senators.
They are MCA vice-president Datuk Dr Hou Kok Chung, 51, who is a former deputy minister of higher education; MCA Publicity Bureau chairman Datuk Chai Kim Sen; Klang MIC Division chief Datuk S. Vigneswaran and Pahang MIC chairman Datuk R. Goonasakaren.
They took their oath of office before Dewan Negara president Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang at Parliament House.
All of them have been appointed for the first time to serve a three-year term of office.
