Indian PM Modi congratulates Brazilian President on re-election

Rousseff will begin another four-year term on 01 January 2015. By the end of her second term the PT will have served 16 consecutive years. NEW DELHI, Oct 27 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff (pic) on her re-election, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

“Congratulations to Dilma Rousseff on her re-election as president of Brazil! My best wishes to her for the 2nd term,” Modi tweeted.

“I look forward to continuing to work with Rousseff to strengthen India-Brazil relations in the years to come,” he said.

Brazil’s left-leaning president was re-elected for a second term on Sunday following a bitter campaign in the tightest race the country has seen since its return to democracy three decades ago.
