New Delhi, January 14 – Trailer of Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan’s comedy Uttama Villain is out and as always it is yet another stellar film by the maverick. Uttama Villain is said to be the story of an ageing superstar, played by Kamal Haasan, who seeks to restore his lost glory with one last act.
Haasan will feature in a dual role in the film as an eighth century drama actor and a 21st century cinestar. Master of disguises, Kamal Haasan has written the story of this costume drama.
Uttama Villain is the last film of director Balachander, who passed away last month. The film’s music is composed by Ghibran and cinematography is handled by Shyam Dutt. Thirrupathi Brothers and Raaj Kamal Films International have produced the project.
The film also features Jayaram, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Urvashi, K. Vishwanath and Kamal’s mentor, the late K. Balachander in important roles.
