GEORGE TOWN: Penang MIC Youth chief J. Dhinagaran has refuted claims that he would quit the party and contest as an independent.
Online portals quoted Dhinagaran as having thoughts of resigning from the party and standing as an independent as he was not picked to contest in the general election.
Dhinagaran dismissed the talk saying certain quarters were out to “poison” him with words.
“I pledged my loyalty to the party and state Barisan Nasional chairman Teng Chang Yeow in a bid to recapture the state back from Pakatan Rakyat.
“The candidates who are not picked should not speak with anger,” he said when contacted on Thursday.
