JUNE 5- Tackling Left Wingh Extremism will require a two-pronged strategy: proactive and sustained operations against Maoist extremists and addressing development and governance issues, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told chief ministers on Wednesday.
“We are meeting today in the aftermath of the brutal attack by Left Wing Extremists on Congress leaders and workers… Such violence has no place in our democracy,” he said at Chief Minister’s Conference on Internal Security.
Earlier, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said Pakistan’s spy agency ISI is trying to revive militancy in Punjab.
