JULY 8- Actor Hrithik Roshan successfully underwent a brain surgery on Sunday to remove a two-month-old clot at a hospital in Mumbai and will be discharged in a couple of days, his doctor said.

HRITHIKROSHAN09052013“Hrithik was performing stunts for his upcoming film Bang Bang two months ago and he suffered an injury on his head. He started developing pain and hence he started taking pain killers but they wouldn’t work. So, he went for a CT scan in May end. Later it was found that there was a clot in the brain,” Dr VK Mishra, who is treating him, told reporters.

He said the surgery on the 39-year-old Krrish star was successful. “Hrithik is fully conscious and doing fine. He is currently under observation and will be discharged in two or three days. Hrithik has been advised 4-weeks bed rest after which he can resume shooting,” Mishra said.

Hrithik’s father, actor-director Rakesh Roshan said the actor was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar in suburban Mumbai this morning. “He (Hrithik) is doing fine now. He has been shifted to a room and will be discharged in two days,” Rakesh Roshan told PTI after the two-hour long operation.
