Kuala Lumpur, March 18- The commander of missing Malaysia Airline aircraft Captain Zaharie Ahmed Shah had showed changes in behavioral pattern hours before he took the flight. A striking change was noticed in the way he had greeted the security guards posted outside his gated residence in Laman Seri on the night of his flight.

Investigations by Headlines Today revealed that Captain Zaharie normally wished the Nepali security guards posted outside his colony with a Muslim style of salutation as if he was saying salam to him. But on the night when he took the flight nine days ago, he had saluted the guards in the military style.

“There was a striking change in the way he had saluted us that night,” said one of the security guards posted outside his house on condition of anonymity, adding, ”it was very unlike him.”

Another abnormal thing noticed that night was he used his own BMW 5 series car to go to the airport to take the flight that night. Normally he used to take the airline cab for going to airport for doing international flights. His cab had arrived at his colony gates almost twenty minutes after he had left for the airport.

Another interesting angle that night was that he was accompanied by his wife in his BMW car at around 9 pm. Interestingly his wife did not return home that night. She only returned to the house on Saturday morning almost a week after the suspected hijack.  Sources said she returned to the house at 10 am.

Her visit to the posh Laman Seri house with lush green surroundings was followed by her son. Catpain’s son is settled abroad and came to the house at around 2 pm on Saturday. He was weeping at the gate when the security guards tried to verify his antecedents over telecom from the colony’s security guard room.

Sources said he was accompanied with three vehicles of Malaysian intelligence officials, who went with him to the house to carry out searches.  Malaysian intelligence agencies are trying to look into Captain Zahari and other crew member’s political and religious affiliations.

Some media reports had suggested that Capt Zaharie had affiliation with the leader of opposition in Malaysia called Anwar Ibrahim, who had been convicted on charges of sodomy. It was said that the Capt had also attended proceedings of the trial. However the political party refuted the allegation describing them highly ridiculous.

They are also examining their hobbies and behavioral patterns to get clues for unraveling the mystery. 53-year-old Captain Zahari came under scanner after some of the photos posted by him on Facebook showed him with a flight simulator in the background at his residence. Malaysian Police is examining the simulator and it believes this is an unusual thing for a pilot, who is highly experienced with over 18,000 hours of flying time.  He has been associated with Malaysia Airlines for more than 30 years.

The people known to him identify him as a gizmos geek, who is fond of electric and electronic gadgets. He also ran a website, which gave tips to subscribers to repair their gadgets.

Malaysian investigators are also looking into the role of other crew members of the flight including co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid, who was under scrutiny after his pictures appeared on social media showing him with two unauthorised females in the cockpit.  Malaysian police also carried out searches at his residence.
