Kuala Lumpur : MIC has reiterated its support behind the current PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the nation awaits for the outcome of the meeting between Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim scheduled to take place tomorrow (Tuesday 13 October)
“The MIC Management Committee led by Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran has decided that the party hasn’t received any request to be part of any plans or claims made by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to form a new government. We stand in accordance to the decision by Barisan Nasional component leaders especially the Members of Parliament to support the leadership of YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the Prime Minister of the Perikatan Nasional Government. As such the Malaysian Indian Congress reiterates our party’s stance to give our undivided support to YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the Prime Minister of Malaysia” the Secretary General of MIC Datuk M.Asojan Muniandy said in a short media statement issued last night.
