GEORGE TOWN, Feb 4 – Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will make a one-day working visit to Penang tomorrow. Muhyiddin, who will be accompanied by his wife, Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul
Rahman, will start his visit with a briefing given by the Penang BN before meeting polling district chiefs at a hotel here after arrival in the morning.
The deputy prime minister will have lunch with state BN leaders and members before heading for University Sains Malaysia to meet Penang professional groups, said the Information Department in a statement.
He will then meet Taman Desa Green residents in Jelutong before attending the 1Malaysia People’s Blue Wave Gathering at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Indrawasih, Perai at 8 pm.
In a separate programme, Noorainee is scheduled to meet Hamna low-cost flat residents in Sungai Dua and hand over aid to the needy before attending a gathering hosted by local women’s organisations at Sunshine Suntec Bayan Baru, in the morning. After that she will travel to Ujung Batu Bagan, Butterworth to hand over aid to poor families at 2 pm before joining Muhyiddin at the 1Malaysia People’s Blue
Wave Gathering.
Muhyiddin and his wife are expected to return to Kuala Lumpur from the RMAF base in Butterworth after the event.
