NEW DELHI, June 28 – Kerala-based Malabar Gold & Diamond plans to expand its presence in the Far East with new stores in places like Malaysia and Indonesia.
It also plans to make a foray into Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, as well as Europe and the United States by 2015, the Times of India reported.
According to the company’s website, it has at present, 89 outlets located in various states in India as well as the Middle East.
The jeweler plans to increase its outlets to 220 by 2015.
“We will add 32 outlets in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) alone by 2016,” its corporate executive director, Shafeekh V.S was quoted as saying.
