KUALA TERENGGANU, July 11- Terengganu state government’s subsidiary company, TDM Bhd, has made history with its biggest dividend payout since 2006.
Its chairman, Datuk Roslan Awang Chik, said the RM35.30 million dividend for financial year ended Dec 31, 2012 was 21.6 per cent higher compared with RM29.02 million in 2011.
“The payment this time is a record high since 2006,” he said at a dividend presentation ceremony here today.
Roslan presented the dividend cheque to Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahamd Said.
Also present were Datuk Mazlan Ngah (Terengganu state secretary), Badrul Hisham Mahari (TDM chief executive officer) and Amir Mohd Hafiz Amir Khalid (TDM chief financial officer).
He said TDM has paid dividend yearly since 2006 until 2012, with the amount rising from two sen to 22 sen a share.
Roslan said the company would allocate 30 per cent of its net profit, after tax and minority interests, as dividend.
