Kuala Lumpur, Nov 10 – Malaysia recorded RM117.89 billion worth of total trade in September this year, marking a 4.2 per cent increase from last year, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The prime minister said this in his Twitter account when commenting on a Bernama article yesterday headlined ‘Malaysia’s Total Trade In September Up 4.2 Per Cent To RM117.89 Billion.’
Malaysia’s total trade in September 2013 expanded by 4.2 per cent to RM117.89 billion compared with the same month last year, said the International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti).
In a statement here yesterday, Miti said the increase in total trade was contributed mainly by higher trade with China by RM1.88 billion, Asean (RM1.85 billion), Taiwan (RM766 million), Germany (RM573.8 million) and the United States (RM516 million).
