California, December 2 – A grainy last photograph of Paul Walker getting into the ill-fated Porsche shows the Hollywood actor in a blue short-sleeved shirt and brown trousers trying to push the red car at a shop in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Less than 30 minutes later, he was dead, along with his friend Roger Rodas (pic), reported TMZ.

Paul, 40, was not even supposed to get into the car. He felt like hopping in after Roger, 38, tried to lent a helping hand to one of his employees at Always Evolving – his auto shop – to reverse the Carrera GT Porsche and put it in the garage.

The two friends then decided to go for a spin. The ride through sunny LA went on for some 20 minutes and ended with their deaths.

The accident took place just 500 yards from the shop.

On seeing the car in flames, Paul’s childhood friend Nute rushed in with a fire extinguisher. But it was too late.

Nute was so shocked that when a firefighter tried to pull him away from the burning car, he reportedly punched him.

Inside the charred and mangled car lay two bodies burnt beyond recognition. Police could not identify who was Paul and who was Roger.

The coroner then sought Paul’s dental records to identify the body.

The postmortem is yet to take place.
