KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 – Share prices on Bursa Malaysia remained in the red mid-afternoon on lack of fresh leads.

At 3.01 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI was 7.75 points lower at 1,859.94.Losers outpaced gainers 470 to 306 while 296 counters were unchanged, 553
untraded and 13 others were suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.911 billion shares worth RM1.112 billion.The local market was also weighed down by losses in selected heavyweights like Maybank, Public Bank and TNB which all shed four sen to RM10.10, RM19.14 and RM12.38, respectively.

On the scoreboard, the Finance Index decreased 59.69 points to 17,408.81,the Industrial Index shed 7.46 points to 3,235.18 and the Plantation Index
contracted 62.4 points to 8,472.38.

The FBM Emas Index slipped 37.08 points to 12,965.31, the FBMT100 Index declined 36.25 points to 12,557.4 but FBM 70 rose 21.09 points to 14,206.58 and
FBM Ace added 7.03 points to 6,890.78.

Among actives, Globaltec and RGB International added one sen each to 10.5 sen and 17 sen, respectively, Efficient E-Solutions was flat at 31 sen and Sumatec eased one sen to 46.5 sen.
