MEXICO CITY, March 16 – Five people were killed when a small plane crashed in the northern border state of Chihuahua, Mexican officials said.
The crash happened in the city of Santa Barbara shortly after the small plane took off at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday from the Frisco airport.
The plane was carrying five people, the Chihuahua Attorney General’s Office said.
The aircraft experienced mechanical problems that “caused it to go down in the area known as Nogal,” the AG’s office said in a statement.
Everyone on the plane was killed instantly, the AG’s office said.
