MACHANG, April 18 – Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat(Pic) will defend the Chempaka state assembly seat during the 13th General Election (GE13). His son Nik Mohd Abduh, a newcomer was named as the candidate for the Pasir Mas Parliamentary seat in the list of candidates announced by PAS, tonight which also included seats allocated to PKR.
All Kelantan exco members were retained to defend their respective state seats with the exception of Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan who has been moved from the Bunut Payong state assembly seat to the Kota Baharu parliament seat. PAS vice president Datuk Husam Musa who was earlier announced as the candidate for the Putrajaya parliament seat will also defend his Salor state seat.
However, PAS did not name the candidates for the Guchil and Paloh state seats which fall under Gua Musang and Kuala Krai parliamentary constituencies, respectively. Apart from Nik Mohd Abduh, 16 new faces in the list are Dr Ramli Mamat
(Bunut Payong), Rozi Mamat (Tendong), Rosul Mohamad (Bukit Tuku), Abdul Rahman Yunus (Pasir Tumboh), Mumtaz Nawi (Demit), Ruzaimi Hussin (Perupok), Dr Yusman Yusof (Melor), Nik Mahadi Nik Mahmood (Kok Lanas), Mazlan Hasbullah (Limbongan), Tuan Mazlan Tuan Mat (Gaal), Rosli Ismail (Kemuning), Supli Razak (Bukit Bunga), Ramlan Mat (Kuala Balah), Azihan Che Seman (Nenggiri), all state seats and Ezani Hussin (Pengkalan Chepa), Ahmad Marzukh Shaari (Bachok), both parliament seats.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) was allocated three parliament seats, namely Nik Mahmood Nik Hassan (Tanah Merah), Abdul Aziz Abdul Kadir (Ketereh) and Wan Zawawi Wan Ismail (Machang). The state seats allocated to PKR are Shahrom Ibrahim (Pengkalan Kubor), Azihan Che Seman (Nenggiri) plus Guchil and Paloh (candidates yet to be announced).
