Abdul Aziz Mohd YusofALOR SETAR, June 4 – Indelible ink will be used during the Kuala Besut by-election although several weaknesses were identified regarding its usage in the 13th general election, said Election Commission (EC) chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof.

He said the use of indelible ink has become part of the country’s election regulations and should be continued or else it could nullify an election or make it invalid.

However, improvements will be made in its use, he told reporters at a dinner function here last night celebrating EC personnel in Kedah who were on duty during the last general election.

When asked on the colour of ink to be used during the Kuala Besut by-election, Abdul Aziz said it cannot be announced for fear of sabotage.
