AUG 24- A high drama played out at Delhi’s Patiala House court complex as the wife of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) chairman Anil Ambani – Tina Ambani – deposed before a special CBI court as a prosecution witness in the 2G spectrum allocation case on Friday.

Anil-Ambani-TinaA number of journalists and cameramen were positioned at all the six gates of the court complex to capture the yesteryear Bollywood actress, originally known as Tina Munim, in their cameras.

However, the majority of them failed to capture her on their cameras as some huge guys opened umbrellas to cover Tina up. But Headlines Today’s Jaskirat Singh managed to grab the bahu of India’s first business family into his mobile phone camera.

Tina waited in the clerk’s room before being called inside the courtroom. All this while, several court staffers and policemen on duty queued up there seeking her autograph.

Inside the court, she denied playing any role in Reliance ADAG, saying she was “a housewife, run a hospital”. “I have never been associated with any Reliance ADAG company,” she told the judge emphasising that she was involved in social work.

Apparently referring to Anil Ambani saying on Thursday as a witness that he was unable to recall most of things he was asked about, special CBI judge O.P. Saini told Tina: “Your memory is better than your husband’s.”

Tina invites CBI judge to visit her hospital in Mumbai

At the end of the hearing, Tina invited the judge to visit her hospital in Mumbai “to see the social work” she does.

To this, the judge said, “How can I come to hospital?”

Tina then said “as a special invitee for a kind visit”.

The judge gave in, saying he would but only “after this case is over”.

As Tina stepped out of the court, a scuffle broke out when the security personnel accompanying her prevented the media men from coming closer to her.
