DUBAI, Sept 26- Emirates Airline demonstrated its industry leading role on Tuesday night after being named Aviation Company of the Year at The Gulf Business Industry Awards 2013, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The award comes as Emirates embarks on another wave of route launch announcements, extending its network across six continents.
Emirates also won the award for United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Company of The Year, voted by readers of Gulf Business and gulfbusiness.com. Both awards were received by President of Emirates Airline, Tim Clark.
The Gulf Business Industry Awards 2013 winners were voted on by a panel of independent and cross-industry judges.
According to QNA, Emirates has so far launched new routes to Warsaw, Algiers, Tokyo Haneda and Stockholm in 2013.
The airline was established in 1985 and has become one of the world’s most successful carriers, winning hundreds of international awards for its products and services.
