Opposition PDP and BJP sweep in Kashmir

Sri Nagar, May 16 – Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti shows the V for victory sign after she was declared winner today for the parliamentary seat of Anantnag in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir.

PDP won all the three seats from Kashmir valley while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won two seats from Jammu region and one seat from cold desert region of Ladakh.
