KLANG, Aug 11 — Embattled Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim emerged smiling from a meeting of the Council of the Royal Court of Selangor at the Istana Alam Shah here today, and said he was satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.
He said he would hold a special press conference at 2 pm at the SUK Building in Shah Alam to explain his position as the menteri besar.
“The outcome (of the meeting) enables me to still keep smiling,” he told reporters after attending the meeting.
Khalid is clinging on to the post of menteri besar even after the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leadership decided to have him replaced with PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
His insistence on staying on as the menteri besar resulted in PKR issuing him a show-cause letter last week and then sacking him from the party on Saturday.
