NEW DELHI, December 22 – Buzz has it that South Korean giant, Samsung’s upcoming Z1 Tizen-based smartphone for India, the alleged SM-Z130H will ‘finally’ be launched in early January next year.
A new report by Phone Arena (quoting The Korea Economic Daily) suggests that the Samsung Z1 will be launched on January 18, 2015 after much delay.
Further, the report confirms that the said device will be an entry-level smartphone priced to the tune of about $90 and will be available both online as well via Samsung’s existing sales networks.
The tipped specifications of Samsung’s Z1 Tizen smartphone include: a 4-inch TFT LCD display with a 480 x 800 pixels resolution, a 1.2GHz dual core Spreadtrum SC7727S processor coupled with 512MB of RAM, 3.2MP primary camera with flash and 0.3MP secondary camera.
The smartphone is further touted as a dual-SIM device and will support 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity options. Earlier reports suggested that the alleged SM-Z130H has been codenamed ‘KIRAN’.
Reports also hinted that Samsung might be looking to continue with its proprietary TouchWiz interface on the Z1 yet again. The smartphone is also tipped to sport features like Private Mode and Ultra Power Saving Mode.
