Kuala Lumpur – Tan Sri K.S.Nijhar, who had illustrious careers in business, politics, banking sectors and academia is set to launch his memoirs in his autobiography book titled ” Bullock Cart Boy”.
“Bullock Cart Boy” published by MPH will be officially launched in Kuala Lumpur today (Saturday 2nd July 2016) at the Majestic Hotel at 6.00 pm. Attendance is only by invitation.
Tan Sri K.K.S.Nijhar has served as a Senator and was the former Parliamentary Secretary to Ministry of International Trade and Industries.
Nijhar was also the Member of Parliament for Subang for two consecutive terms. In 1999 he was fielded as the candidate for Subang Parliamentary Constituency and won. He was fielded again in 2004 and won with a 15,460 vote-majority.
Nijhar held various positions in MIC and in 2000, he was elected as one of the 3 Vice-Presidents of the party. He was re-elected in 2003.
The book “Bullock Cart Boy” narrates Nijhar’s challenges in life since his childhood days and his struggles to emerge from the doldrums of poverty to rise as one of the notable Malaysian figures by excelling in the fields of education, business and politics.
The book launch this year is also a special occasion for Nijhar and his family as it coincides with his 80th birthday celebrations.
Several dignitaries, political leaders and contemporaries of Nijhar are expected to turn up for the book launch today.
“Bullock Cart Boy” will also be launched in Penang on the 16th of July 2016 (Saturday) at 4.00 pm at the E & O Hotel.
