Anwar IbrahimKUCHING, April 12- With eight days to go before the nomination day, the opposition is running against time to finalise the allocation of several disputed parliamentary and state seats in Sarawak for the 13th general election.

Parti Keadilan rakyat (PKR) adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the opposition needed a bit more time to decide on the allocation of the remaining seats.

Speaking to reporters here today, he said the PKR was supposed to announce the full list of its candidates last night, but had to put it off due to overlapping claims for several seats by the DAP and PAS.

Anwar, however, said so far the PKR was given endorsement to vie for 11 parliamentary seats, namely Limbang (Baru Bian), Saratok (Ali Biju), Batang Lupar (Abang Zulkifli Abang Engkeh), Hulu Rajang (Abun Sui Anyie), Baram (Roland Engan), Lubok Antu (Nicholas Bawin), Kanowit (Thomas Laja), Selangau (Joshua Jabeng), Santubong (Zulhusdi Hol), Betong (Cecilia Siti Una), and Petra Jaya (Ahmad Nazib Johari).  Baru, who is Sarawak PKR chairman, had said that the party would contest in at least 13 parliamentary constituencies in the state.
