TANJONG KARANG, April 27 – PAS should be steadfast in pursuing its hudud goals, said Selangor Barisan nasional deputy chairman Datuk Seri Noh Omar. He said it was strange that this objective was not mentioned in Pakatan Rakyat’s manifesto.
“I have to ask whether they (PAS) lost their voice when the manifesto was being drawn up. Are their leaders “mice” (cowards)?,” he told a press conference here today.
Noh, who is also Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister, was referring to the squabble between PAS and its Pakatan partner DAP on implementing hudud laws in Malaysia if Pakatan were to win in the 13th General Election (GE13) on May 5.
PAS leaders are adamant about implementing the strict Islamic penal code while the DAP is dead set against it. On another matter, Noh said the Selangor government’s plan to table its report card ala the BN showed how desperate they were about defending the state in GE13.
