PITAS, April 29 – Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has assured that the Barisan Nasional (BN) state government will never give land to outsiders.
“We cannot afford to give land to outsiders because we realise that the rakyat in the state need land more,” he said, adding the needs of the rakyat were more important.
Speaking at the Yayasan Sabah roadshow in Dataran Bengkoka here today, Musa advised the people not to be influenced by the opposition’s propaganda on the land issue.
“Since I became chief minister, I have never given land to people from outside (Sabah),” said the Sabah BN chairman.
Musa also launched the Kampung Kiandut Integrated Mini Estet Sejahtera (Mesej) programme under the rural development ministry, which was the 45th Mesej programme implemented in the state.
“This is our way of assisting the people to set up an industry which provides opportunities to generate decent income,” he said.
Later, speaking at the official opening of the newly-built SK Serusup in Tuaran, Musa said the federal government would continue to prioritise the interests of the people, particularly with regard to education.
