PORT DICKSON, April 29 – Tourism development will continue to be the main agenda of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government if given the mandate by the people at the general election on May 5.
BN candidate for Bagan Pinang Tun Hairuddin Abu Bakar said Port Dickson has generated income for the people and state via tourism which has great potential for development.
“The strategic location of Port Dickson overlooking the Straits of Melaka with a coastline of 18 kilometres makes Port Dickson a tourist attraction. Efforts will be intensified to attract more domestic and foreign tourists here,” he told Bernama here today.
Important aspects to be implemented include the introduction of more tourism products and infrastructure to make Port Dickson a modern seaside resort town. Bagan Pinang state seat is a straight fight between Tun Hairuddin and Ramli Ismail from PAS.
