* A Samad Said Young Journalist Award: Abd Kadir Mohd Ayub (Dewan Masyarakat) and Melissa Ong (NTV7)
* Best News Report: Farrah Naz Karim and Iskandar Alang Zainuddin New Straits Times)
* Best Investigative Journalism: Farrah Naz Karim (NST).
* Best International Journalism: Tuan Mohd Asri Tuan Hussein (Harian Metro)
* Best Feature: Azilea Badri (Unreserved)
* Best Column: Datuk Zainul Ariffin Mohamed Isa (NST)
* Best Environmental Journalism – Petronas : Isabelle Lai (The Star)
* Best Photojournalsim : Khairul Mazzaman Ghazali (NST)
* Best Photo Essay : Mazlan Samion (BERNAMA)
* Best Video : Aminhayat Abd Rahim and Fifi Izwan Roslan (TV9)
* Best Video Documentary : Za’im Helmi Zaini (TV3)
The Kajai Award winner received a cash prize of RM30,000 and a gold shilling weighing 100 grammes while the winners in the other categories received cash prizes of RM15,000 each except for Best Photo Essay where the prize was RM12,000
