JULY 3- The baby of British royal couple the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge could result in a huge 243 million pounds spending spree on souvenirs and branded baby products.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine will also give a boost to any baby product brand they are seen endorsing as fellow parents are expected to rush to copy their choices.
Retail specialist Bryan Roberts told the Daily Star: “There will be an uplift in those brands Kate and William buy.”
While branded clothing and dishware is expected, doughnut company Krispy Kreme will be making royal treats with blue or pink icing depending on the sex of the baby.
“We recognise there is a long and happy history of people producing souvenirs to mark royal occasions.”
Prince William’s own birth saw a huge sale of commemorative items and experts have predicted similar scenes when the royal couple’s first child is welcomed into the world.
