Kerala Capital opening Signature Museum this year

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) July 11- India’s first ‘signature museum’ displaying signatures of eminent personalities from various fields will be established in the capital of south Indian state of Kerala.

Officials from the state Archives Department in charge of the project said the museum will open later this year, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

keralaThe department is currently collecting signatures of renowned personalities from fields including sports, arts, literature, films, politics and science.

Efforts are also ongoing to collect signatures of erstwhile kings and ‘diwans’ (prime ministers) from older records.

The signatures will be accompanied by the owner’s brief profile and photograph.

A technical committee has been formed by the state government to provide guidance in setting up the museum at the Archives Department Hall in the city.

An official from the Archives Deparment said the committee is speeding up processes to open the museum before the end of this financial year.
