KUALA BESUT, July 12- The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia has set up a media centre at Hotel Primula Pointray Besut for the by-election for the Kuala Besut state seat.
The media centre is located at the Puteri Lounge of the hotel at Jalan Primula, Persiaran Air Tawar, here.
Principal Assistant Secretary (Media Coordination Unit) of the ministry, Suwadi Guliling said the media centre, which begins operations today until July 25, would undertake media relations and management functions and provide facilities to media personnel covering the by-election.
The centre operates from 8.30am until midnight throughout the period and it is contactable by telephone at 09-6950766 and by fax at 09-6950769.
Suwadi said the media centre could accommodate 40 media personnel at any one time while three television sets were provided with Astro facilities.
The media centre also had a working area facility, media conference room, and equipped with wifi, telephones and facsimile facilities, he added.
