SEPANG, July 26 – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe left for home Friday after concluding his two-day official visit to Malaysia.
The aircraft carrying Abe and his delegation departed from the KL International Airport here at about 9am.
On hand to bid them farewell were Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin and Deputy Education Minister P. Kamalanathan.
During his visit, Abe and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak held a closed-door meeting, during which they discussed bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the Look East Policy.
Najib Thursday night hosted an official dinner in honour of Abe at the prime minister’s official residence Seri Perdana in Putrajaya.
Japan is Malaysia’s second biggest trading partner in East Asia after China and third in the world with trade volume amounted to RM145.32 billion last year.
