Kuala Lumpur, Nov 21 – The Penang government’s alleged interference in the administration of Islamic affairs in the state will likely be discussed at the three-day PAS Muktamar in Shah Alam starting Saturday.

Member of Parliament for Kuala Nerus Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said matter could only be resolved by PAS top leaders at the muktamar (congress).

“The matter will be brought up at the muktamar,” he told reporters at Parliament lobby.

He was commenting on Penang PAS’s threat to leave the DAP-led state government for allegedly interfering in the Penang Islamic Religious Council (MAIPP) administration by appointing individuals not from PAS as members of the council.
