Surapong said 50 countries have expressed concern over the political situation in Thailand in the last two weeks, with the latest from India and Sri Lanka.

A spokesperson from India’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the government supports Thailand in maintaining the rule of law, negotiations that comply with the Constitution and democratic processes to restore national order.

Sri Lanka government spokesman said it would continue to follow up developments in Thailand, and calls on parties concerned to adhere to democracy as well as to serve the people’s demands.
