Bollywood chooses IIFA Awards over voting in Lok Sabha polls!

hrithkiDelhi, April 25 – The 15th edition of International Indian Film Academy weekend and Awards in Tampa bay, Florida is buzzing with Bollywood excitement and is all set to celebrate Indian cinema like never seen before.

Some the biggest names of the film fraternity are a part of this film fiesta, A-listers including Hrithik Roshan,  Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Sonkashi Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha.

But the burning topic of elections being on everyone mind, fingers are being pointed at and many questions are being asked to the actors present.

Vivek Oberoi and Gulshan Grover who had arrived in Tampa on the 23rd April itself expressed their disappointment on missing voting back in Mumbai. Vivek Oberoi said,”I am extremely sad and sorry to have missed out on voting but I am glad that my family is going to be present in mumbai for it”.

While Gulshan grover on the other hand defended himself by saying “IIFA was a prior commitment, all this had been decided long ago and the elections dates were announced much later..”

However, some celebrities who have their priorities set and decided to  put the ballot first were award night co-host and Best Actor Nominee Farhan Akhtar, who has cast his vote before flying to Tampa Bay, Florida along with Deepika Padukone who has been a Best Actress Nominee. Vidya Balan too decided to cast her vote before proceeding for the IIFA Weekend.
