SHAH ALAM, Sept 4- Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said Wednesday he anticipated a swift response from the Selangor palace on the matter of the names for the new menteri besar proposed by the three parties of the opposition pact.
He said the state government had been informed that the three parties – Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), PAS and DAP – had sent the names of the candidates for menteri besar to Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah as required by the ruler.
Speaking at a press conference after the weekly meeting of the state executive council, Abdul Khalid said he was not keen to know who would succeed him as the menteri besar.
He said that for the time being, the state government administration would run as usual.On a suggestion by several NGOs in Selangor for a state election to be held, Abdul Khalid said that was up to the discretion of the sultan.
