Malindo Air flight OD206 re-routes to Don Mueang on technical glitch

Malindo-AirKUALA LUMPUR, November 3  – Malindo Air today confirmed that flight OD206, on the way to Kuala Lumpur from Delhi, India, this morning was re-routed to Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, due to a technical glitch.

The aircraft, which was supposed to have arrived at klia2 at 5.25 am, landed safely at 2.45 am Thai time and no injuries were reported, Malindo Air said in a
statement today. The flight, operated on Boeing 737-900ER, departed Indira Gandhi International Airport at 10.05 pm local time as scheduled, carrying 121
passengers including three infants and eight crew members.

“The operating crew, upon discovering the technical glitch, immediately carried out the emergency checklist as per standard operating procedures and alerted air traffic control towers before diverting to Don Mueang.

“The passengers are being taken care of by Thai Lion Air and arrangements to put them on another flight to Kuala Lumpur at 3.45 pm Thai time are already under way,” it said. Malindo Air said the technical glitch was being investigated and had been formally reported to the relevant authorities, engine and aircraft manufacturer.
