KUALA LUMPUR, March 8- Seiko Epson Corp (Epson) has launched the new H8 robots, the first models in its new flagship H series of horizontally-articulated Scara robots. In a statement today, Epson said the robots were designed to automate tasks such as assembly and transport.
“The industrial robots are capable of handling payloads up to 8 kg.
“They are widely used to transport and assemble parts on production lines particularly in the electronic and car industries,” it said.
Epson said the Scara robots were valued for their exceptional speed, accuracy and operating stability, but the H-series robots took these performance parameters to the next level to meet manufacturers’ demands for even higher throughput.
Going forward, Epson said it would continue to help customers enhance their production operations with an expanded H-series line-up.
