MIC pledges RM40,000 aid to families of slain cops

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 – The MIC has pledged RM40,000 to the families of eight security personnel killed in the terrorist attacks on Sabah, as the party pays tribute to their sacrifices in defending the nation. Party president Datuk Seri G. Palanive(Pic)l said, each family would receive RM5,000, to be channelled through the Royal Malaysia Police Welfare Fund.

In a statement here today, Palanivel, who is also minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, called on all Malaysians to set aside their differences and stand united to support the Malaysian security forces in undertaking their mission to repel the gunmen.
