KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 – The result of last year’s Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination will be announced on Monday (March 18), the Malaysian Examinations Council said. The council, in a statement issued here today, said candidates would be able to get their result at their respective schools from noon, while private candidates would receive theirs through the post.
Candidates can also check the result via the short messaging message (SMS) by sending STPM RESELT<space>IC number to 15888 or at the council’s website at http://www.mpm.edu.my from noon on that day, it said. A media conference on the analysis of the examination result would be held at noon on the same day at Dewan Besar, MPM, Bandar Baru Selayang, Batu Caves, Selangor.
Last year, a total of 51,673 candidates sat for the examination at 760 examination centres nationwide. They comprised 47,708 candidates from government schools, 1,112 candidates from private schools, 2,795 private candidates and 58 from state government schools. Meanwhile, those who sat for 2013 STPM first term examination can check their results by also surfing the MOM website, or via the SMS on March 21.
