Singapore reaffirms to work closely with catholic church

singapore_lionSINGAPORE, March 20 – The Singapore Government has reaffirmed that the republic will work closely with the Catholic Church to continue its good work in Singapore. This was conveyed by Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu during a brief audience with Pope Francis following the Papal Inauguration Mass at St Peter’s Square in the Vatican.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Fu, who represented Singapore at the Papal Inauguration Mass for the Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church on Tuesday, also congratulated Pope Francis on his election as the new pope.
