Frankfurt – Germany’s flagship airline Lufthansa has cancelled 912 flights scheduled for Thursday, the second day of a strike by its pilots in a dispute over pay.
Lufthansa pilots grounded hundreds of flights on the first day of strike action on Wednesday, affecting the travel plans of around 100,000 passengers.
The German carrier has called for outside intervention to end the conflict as it refuses to bow to the VC union’s demand for a pay increase.
The conflict has been running since April 2014.
