KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 – The MIC Youth’s Higher Education Bureau will organise a seminar for post Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), tomorrow. Its chairman, D. Mahaganapathy said, the seminar would enable students to get technical advisory service on courses they could apply for, according to their respective results.
“Actually, many opportunities are open to Indian students including at Public/Private Higher Institutions Of Learning (IPTA), but many don’t know how to apply,” he said in a statement, here, today.
Mahaganapathy, who is also 1Malaysia Indian Student Movement (1MISM) president, also asked students to bring along their SPM and STPM result slips when attending the seminar. He said, 1MISM would also organise 16 more such seminars all over peninsula Malaysia to counsel students.
In the seminar, Mahaganapathy said, a book containing important information on IPTA, scholarship and loan application would also be launched and distributed to students for free. With the cooperation of 1MISM, the seminar would be held at Auditorium Perdana Siswa, Universiti Malaya from 8am to 2pm.
