Chennai – President of India Ramnath Kovind today visited former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.Karunanidhi at the Kauvery Hospital here. Karunanidhi has been hospitalised at Kauvery Hospital for the last two week where he is seeking treatment for his health related problems.
The President of India earlier attended the convocation ceremony at IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) at Hyderabad and flew to Chennai arriving at Kauvery Hospital around 2.45 pm (Indian time).
Later he posted on his twitter page as follows together with a photograph taken with family members of Karunanidhi:
“Visited Thiru M. Karunanidhi in Chennai, met Kalaignar‘s family members and doctors, and inquired about his health. Wishing the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, a veteran of our public life, a quick recovery”
