SEMPORNA, April 1 – The people in Sabah have been reminded not to choose the wrong parties in the next general election to lead the government. Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nasir Tun Sakaran(Pic) cautioned that it would only be to their detriment if they decided on candidates who were incapable of championing their fate.
“Remember, if we choose the wrong leaders and parties and let them lead the country, we will lose power and will no longer be able to sustain the prosperity that we acquired through the Barisan Nasional and its leaders,” he said at a people’s programme at Kampung Tarapuli, Kampung Blok Tarapuli, Kampung Pegagau Baru and Kampung Kubang Pinang here today.
Meanwhile, Nasir who is also Senallang assemblyman and Semporna Umno deputy chief, regretted the action by some of the local residents whom he described as
“ungrateful and unappreciative” for allegedly betraying the country and abetting the Kiram III terrorists in the Lahad Datu and Semporna intrusions. In this regard, Nasir, who is also minister in charge of state Islamic Affairs, further reminded Muslims to abide by Islamic teachings.
