PASIR SALAK, April 3 – Sixty-two members of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), including the party’s elections director in the Pasir Salak parliamentary constituency Ahmad Taufik Hassan, have left the party to join Umno.
“The party leadership failed to take care of the interests of the people, especially the Malays,” said Ahmad Taufik. The former PKR members submitted their Umno membership forms to the Pasir Salak Umno division head and Pasir Salak MP Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman last night.
Recently, 340 PKR members in Pasir Salak left the party and joined Umno.
