PUTRAJAYA, April 10- Voters can check their respective polling centres and channels for the 13th general election (GE13) via websites and short messaging service (SMS) starting April 15. They can do so through the Election Commission’s (EC) website at www.spr.gov.my and the GE13 official portal at www.pru13.gov.my, or by texting SPR<space>SEMAK<space>IC number to 15888.
For Celcom users, the text message can also be sent to 29292, while for Maxis users, to 33080 or 22789 and for Digi users, to 33080. EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof said apart from using the websites and SMS, voters could also obtain the information by contacting EC headquarters at 03-88856565 or any EC offices nationwide.
He said the latest electoral roll in the form of compact disc (CD) would be sold beginning April 15, while in the form of book, from April 19.
“Other information about the general election will also be issued from time to time by the EC headquarters, state election directors or election returning officers,” he told a special press conference here today.
The electoral roll to be used in the GE13 comprises the Master Electoral Roll 2011 and the additional electoral rolls for the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter and the fourth quarter of 2012.
