“The people should be duped into believing that the opposition will uphold Islam, assist the Malays and protect the rulers institution.
“This is evident in a number of issues, including the use of the word ‘Allah’, abandoning the Islamic state and the Hudud law cause.
“It will likely advocate liberalism as the basis of nationhood and pluralism as the foundation of religious freedom,” he told reporters at his residence here today.
He said Jati was taking a stand in accordance with Figh (Islamic jurisprudence) in its foray against the opposition following discussions with its Syura Council comprising muftis, religious clerics and Fiqh scholars.
