GEORGE TOWN, April 12 – Penang voters must open their eyes and learn from the failure of the opposition pact in reaching a census in placing their candidates in the state, said Penang Umno Liaison Committee deputy chief Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir(Pic). He said, voters, especially the supporters of the opposition, must evaluate for themselves their leaders’ own greed in trying grab seats ahead of the 13th general election (GE13).
“They cannot even solve the problem of placing a candidate for the Sungai Acheh state seat. How to administer the nation if they control Putrajaya? I really hope the people can see this,” he said told reporters here today. He said this in commenting on Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and PAS, both of which want to place their candidates in the Sungai Acheh.
PAS named state PAS youth chief Yusni Md Piah as its candidate for Sungai Acheh while PKR announced Badrul Hisham Shahrin, or more well-known as Cikgu Bard, for the same seat. Sungai Acheh is one of three state seats under the Nibong Tebal parliamentary constituency, which is regarded as a traditional seat for PAS, but went to PKR in 2008.
